01What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences (like which currency you selected), keep you signed in, and understand which features are useful.
Similar technologies — including local storage, session storage, and pixel tags — are covered by this policy too.
02How we use them
DashExpo uses cookies only for things that make the website work and to understand, in aggregate, how it is used. We do not use cookies for cross-site tracking or third-party advertising.
03Types we set
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (e.g., authentication, fraud prevention, currency preference). These cannot be turned off.
- Functional — remember choices you make (theme, accent color) to improve your experience.
- Analytics — anonymous aggregate data about page views, scroll depth, and feature usage. You can opt out at any time.
04Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| dx_ccylocalStorage | Remembers your selected currency (INR / USD / CAD). | Necessary | Persistent |
| dx_session | Keeps you signed in to the customer portal during your visit. | Necessary | Session |
| dx_themelocalStorage | Stores your light / dark / midnight theme preference. | Functional | 1 year |
| _dx_analytics | Privacy-respecting analytics. Aggregated, no cross-site tracking. | Analytics | 13 months |
| cf_clearance | Set by our security provider (Cloudflare) to block automated abuse. | Necessary | 30 days |
05Third-party cookies
The following providers may set their own cookies when you use the relevant feature:
- Stripe / Razorpay / PayPal — at checkout, for payment processing and fraud detection.
- YouTube / Vimeo — only on pages that embed a video; cookies are blocked until you press play.
- Cloudflare — for DDoS protection and bot mitigation.
We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies.
06Your choices
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Cookie banner — accept or customize preferences when you first visit.
- Browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies from the settings menu. Note that disabling necessary cookies may break parts of the site.
- Email us at privacy@dashexpo.com for help with any of the above.
Clearing cookies will sign you out and reset preferences like currency and theme.
07Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond to DNT, our website does not currently change behavior based on it. We do not track you across other websites regardless.
08Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our website evolves or as new regulations require. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
